I'm interested in renting The Camp Next Door!

Great! We're happy to help - check out the Calendar for our availability and to book your stay today!

Ok, we're here! What are some things to do around?

The Camp Next Door is about 30 minutes from the heart of Milo, ME. If you're looking for a bit of a bigger city, Bangor and Old Town are only about an hour south. There are a ton of activities around the area, from hiking, to exploring Mount Desert Island! The coast also isn't too far away and makes a perfect beach day!

Feeling hungry? There's a variety of cafés and restaurants in the area to check out. Check out all there is to do on the Activities page.

What's the deal with linens, towels, etc ...

We got 'em all! Clean linens and towels are provided. We also have Wi-Fi, coffee makers, a washing machine, and fresh well water! Check out the Amenities page for more information.

Help! We need gas, ASAP!

No fear! We've mapped it out and the closest gas station is AE Robinsons, on the corner as you head into Milo. It's about 9 miles from the camp. If you're on wheelers, head to Wildwoods for some fuel (and food) through the trails up the road. Reminder - gas is only available when the restaurant is open!

I have a boat - where can I launch it?

You can head over to Knight's Landing or to Lake View Plantation (further south on the lake). To get to Knight's Landing, head out the dirt road the same way you came in and hang a left when you reach the pavement (Schoodic Lake Road) instead of turning right back into town. From there, follow the road for about a half a mile and then turn left for the landing.
We do ask that you don't launch from our property as it can be hard to maneuver trailers and we have the dock!

How many does the camp sleep?

We have 2 queen beds in the bedrooms and 3 full size beds in the upstairs loft meaning a maximum of 10 people can enjoy their stay at The Camp Next Door!

How did you find yourselves here?

The About Us page has the whole story, but long-story short - our family is from around!

What is a camp?

Just another way to say cabin up here!

And why is it painted that color???

The bright turquoise is an homage to another camp next door. Growing up, we spent time at a family camp on a different lake that was the same color.
